|November 11 ANNUAL MEETING|
The Board of Directors is an elected policy-making body comprised of volunteers who are responsible for the administration of its In-House and Traveling major sports programs: baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, and soccer. It also administers smaller programs, such as dance, fitness, jumprope, tennis and weight lifting to meet the diverse needs of the community.
The Board relies on participation from hundreds of coaches and parents who volunteer many hours of their time to the youth of Towson. Please consider volunteering in any of our programs or participating in our Board meetings. Board meetings are held bi-monthly at 7:30 PM in the Rodgers Forge Elementary School Activity Room.
Elections will be held at the November meeting for the upcoming year.
All of our program directors are volunteers, giving hundreds of hours to organize, develop and manage our youth/adult programs. If you have a question about a specific program, please review the information available on that program's web pages. If you can't find the answer, please contact the program director listed for that program.
The Towson Recreation Council (TRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of our community's young people and adults. Our programs are planned, promoted and directed by unpaid volunteers who work together to strengthen the community. It is our belief that the pursuit of leisure time activities enhance the quality of life of our many participants. Therefore, the TRC board and program directors strive to nurture, plan and protect the leisure needs of present and future Towson residents.
The goals of our youth programs are to provide enjoyable activities, offer beneficial instruction, and develop good sportsmanship skills. Our activities target the average skilled athlete, are fun, and provide a healthy recreational learning experience for all young people.
