In-House Boys Basketball Registration is Now OPEN

Towson Rec In-House Boys Basketball is THE PLACE TO PLAY.  There are limited participants in every age group so do not delay registering your player.  Last year, many age groups had waitlists, as we were not able to accommodate all registration requests.   Looking forward to a great upcoming season!

New Crest for Towson United Soccer

Towson, MD (May 31, 2023) On behalf of Towson Recreation Council and Towson United Soccer, we are proud to announce and present to you Towson United Soccer's new crest. After careful deliberation, we enlisted a graphic designer to create a single logo to represent more than 1,300 boys and girls playing recreational and travel soccer with Towson United. We thoughtfully considered our program's history throughout the redesign process.

We hope the new crest is emblematic of everything Towson United stands for; an organized, culturally relevant recreational activity that promotes and fosters healthy competition, conflict resolution, self-discipline, cooperation, individual development, exercise, and respect.

The new logo not only honors our program's history, but it unifies and modernizes Towson United’s brand for years to come. Be on the lookout for the launching of an online spirit wear shop as we approach the fall season so families may purchase gear and clothing with the new logo.

Together, we are Towson United!

New Director of Coaching and Player Development

Towson, MD (June 1, 2023) - Towson United Girls Soccer is thrilled to announce the hiring of Kait Manning as the new Director of Coaching and Player Development. With her coaching experience and background, Kait is a valuable addition to the Towson United Girls and will help develop and inspire the young female athletes within the program.

Kait brings over 15 years of coaching knowledge and experience to our staff, having worked with various youth soccer clubs and recreational programs throughout the Baltimore region. Kait holds an active USSF National C License and several diplomas from United Soccer Coaches. In addition, Kait coaches the Towson United 2013 Girls Maroon Team. Since 2014, Kait has served as Soccer Program Coordinator and Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach at Maryvale Preparatory School. During that time, Kait has been a part of three IAAM championships and two conference wins, in 2019 and 2022.

Kait will help the girls build competitive soccer skills and learn effective communication and leadership both on and off the field. We are excited to see Kait’s passion for the sport help shape the future of the Towson United Girls travel program.

Kait will be replacing the tenured Katherine Vettori, who after over ten years of dedication to growing the youth travel soccer program has decided to pass the torch. Under Katherine’s command, the youth travel program doubled in size. Towson United competes against other high-level clubs as a result of Katherine’s technical and tactical training methods and loyalty to the program. Towson United thanks Katherine for all the time, energy, and service she has given the program over the last decade. We wish Katherine all the best, especially as she continues to lead Towson University’s Women Soccer Team. Her passion and devotion to the game of soccer will be greatly missed at Towson United. Thank you, Coach Katherine!

“Kait is very knowledgeable, organized, and energetic.  The Towson United Girls Program is in great hands with her at the helm,” says Katherine Vettori. “I am grateful for all the families and athletes I have had the pleasure of working with these years. I’m excited to see what the future will bring at Towson United.”

Kait officially steps into the DOC role on June 1. “I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with the many talented athletes and coaches at Towson United Girls Soccer. I know I have big shoes to fill,” said Kait Manning. “The values at Towson United align with my personal developmental coaching style and philosophy. I look forward to getting started!”
