U10 Girls Coordinator
There is to be NO heading of the ball in practice or games as per US Youth Soccer Guidelines.
For the first 3 games of the season, players will be allowed to redo incorrect throw-ins if their first attempt is done incorrectly. Beginning September 28th, U10 players will NO longer be allowed to re-do throw-ins. Incorrect throw-ins will result in turnover of possession.
U10 teams play 7v7 soccer with 6 field players and one goalkeeper. Ideal team size is 12 to 13 players. Teams practice one weeknight per week and play games on Saturday.
Each girl will receive a uniform with socks and a soccer ball.
Team Formation
Please know that we form teams balanced by age with consideration for the school your child attends and carpool requests. We do our best to to place every player onto a team with some schoolmates, however, we limit team roster sizes at all age levels to maximize the actual playing experience for all players. So, in fairness to all players, we do not form “school teams” and almost every team will have a mix of two or three schools.
Safety
For the safety of the children, there is no jewelry allowed on the playing field. This means no necklaces, bracelets or earrings.
Fields open for practice (per coach's discretion) the week of August 26th and first games will be on September 7th.
The season is 8 weeks long and playoffs will be the weekend of 11/2 and 11/3/24. All teams will play at least one playoff game.
