Summer Camps and Enrichment Programs

Summer 2019 at Rodgers Forge, Stoneleigh and Dumbarton

SUMMER PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO STUDENTS FROM ANY SCHOOL

Registration ends two weeks prior to start or until filled.  

Refund request deadline is two weeks prior to start date.  No refunds after that date!  Refunds are subject to a processing fee.

Beginner Tennis with Mr. Collins  

Geared towards beginners with little or no experience, students will learn fundamental skills of tennis while developing motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sociability, focus and confidence! Enjoy the fresh air, improve your fitness and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Additional details will be provided upon registration.

Date/Time:                 7/22-7/26, 9:30 a.m. – Noon 

Grades:                       Rising grades 6-8

Running Series with Ms. Melanson & Mr. DePrima

Learn the benefits of running as a fun and enjoyable means of lifetime fitness in this summer youth running series.  While technique, pace, and other important running fundamentals will be presented, this program aims to keep kids conditioned throughout the summer and work on individual goals. To celebrate our healthy bodies, we will participate in the Old Bay 5K on Sept. 15th. (optional; additional fees apply).  

Dates/Time:               Mon & Wed,  7/8 – 8/30, 5:45-6:30 pm     

Grades:                       Rising grades 6-9

Field Hockey Clinic with THS!

Led by players from Towson High School’s Field Hockey team, students will learn the fundamental techniques and rules of field hockey as well as participate in other fun activities such as tie-dying and an ice cream party. Suitable for beginners as well as intermediate players wanting practice. Students must wear shin-guards, mouth guard, eye goggles, and bring a stick. In the event of rain, the clinic will not be held.

(last day of summer, departs 9:30 a.m, returns 4 p.m.)

 

  • 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Mon – Thur (unless otherwise noted; times may vary slightly; rain date-Friday)
  • “Local Adventure” includes bowling, indoor climbing, trampoline park, roller skating or go-karting
  • Cost is $325 and includes all admission fees and transportation.  Lunch not provided.
  • Departs from/returns to Dumbarton; travels via school bus.
  • Trips subject to change with similar trip option.
  • Refund deadline is 3 wks prior to start of session.
  • All Baltimore County public and private school students entering grades 7-10 are welcome!

Summer Sports & Games

Keep moving this summer as Stoneleigh Physical Education teachers, Mr. Lane and Mr. Berkey, lead in a variety of exciting sports, lead-up games and active play.

Travel via school bus to a different local adventure each day including Monster Mini Golf/Laser Tag, Sky Zone, Climb Zone, Bowlero and Skateland. Each day concludes with a BYO picnic lunch at the park.  Bigger adventures offered for Gr. 7-10 – see website.

Rodger's Summer Playground

You won’t want to miss this fun community ‘playground’! Each week will feature active play, arts and crafts, special events and free play centered around a weekly theme led by RFES teachers including Ms. Gover, Ms. Rossi, Ms. Guth, Ms. Wohltmann and Ms. Paris.
