TRIP ALERTS!

January 26th trips are a GO!

Ski On!  We look forward to seeing Towson High, Dumbarton Middle, Boys Latin, NDP, McDonogh and Meadowood on the slopes Friday night!

Please follow us on Facebook for trip updates and cancelations.

Please note that unfortunately refunds for rescheduled trips are not possible.   This program is completely dependent upon weather conditions which are out of our control so your flexibility and understanding with regards to rescheduled trips, which need to be worked out with bus companies who have limited bus availability and school schedules, is greatly appreciated.  Please know that we make every attempt to move forward with the scheduled trips as long as the resort is open and a sufficient number of trails are open to accommodate our large groups, and other groups in attendance.

Important to Note

Your child should be independent in renting equipment, carrying equipment, riding the lift, and skiing/boarding. A chaperone will not be with them on the slopes at all times. In addition, they need to adhere to departure times, manage their behavior on the bus and at the resort and be willing to approach adult chaperones to ask for assistance when needed. Please use your judgement if your child meets the criteria.

Lessons will not be offered on school trip nights and therefore are not recommended for first-time skiers/boarders.

Rentals are not included with any of the Epic passes.  Season rentals can be purchased through Liberty Mountain Resort or Princeton Sports, or you may reserve rentals in advance of trip nights through the Liberty Mountain website.

Private school sites are limited to students who attend those schools. Students from any school are welcome on the Meadowood, Dumbarton or Towson High pick-up sites, provided they can arrive by the scheduled departure time.

The resorts are still cashless! Parents wishing to link a credit card to their child's Epic Pass may call Epic at 970-754-0005 or Liberty Guest Services at 717.642.8282.

Chaperones and Volunteers!

Parents chaperones are needed for Dumbarton, Towson High and Meadowood.  A sign-up genius will be distributed in November.

We are looking for parents to help plan an overnight trip to Seven Springs for Towson High (Gr. 10-12) on February 10th and 11th.

Here's the Scoop!

Transportation Cost

Bus fee is $225

Additional Details

Parents and teachers chaperone the trips. Parents should understand that students are not supervised directly while on the slopes or in the ski lodge.  Ski patrol will contact TRC chaperones in the event of a medical concern, at which point chaperones will contact parents as necessary. If you are interested in chaperoning, please email Krista at towsonrecski@gmail.com.

Ski club participants are expected to follow the same behavioral guidelines as listed in their school student handbook. Violations may result in suspension from the club with no refunds.

This program is not recommended for first-time skiers/boarders as NO LESSONS WILL BE OFFERED on ski club trip nights. (first-timers should choose the 3-trip midweek Learn to Ski option - see below for details)

Complete trip details and all necessary information will be sent mid-November via email to all registered students.
