Welcome to the 2020 TRC Ski Club!

NEW THIS SEASON:

  • The new Youth Night Tracker card will replace the Night Club Card for ages 8-18. (no one over 18 will be allowed to purchase this card)
  • Pick-up sites at McDonogh and Sparrows Point schools will be offered. 
  • The Advantage Card will no longer be offered. 
  • Adult chaperones will not be given the option of rentals or lessons included with their chaperone pass.

REGISTRATION OPENS:

Dumbarton Middle (Gr. 6-8)
Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m.

Towson High (Gr. 9-12)
Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. (Towson High likely not sell out so you do not need to register on 10/5 but must register by 10/31; we can add more buses as needed)

Sparrows Point Middle/High (Gr. 7-12)
Sunday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. (This is a new pick up site; space is limited to 50. Register by Oct. 31)

McDonogh School (Gr. 6-12)
Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 pm. (This is a new pick up site; space is limited to 50. Register by Oct. 31)

WAITLISTS:  If you receive an "Out of Stock" message, you should signup for the waitlist.  Once the waitlist reaches 30 students, an additional bus may be added.

WHO:

Dumbarton Pick Up: Students in grades 6–8 

Towson High Pick Up:  Students in grades 9-12 

Sparrows Point Pick Up: Students in grades 7-12

McDonogh:  Students in grades 6-12

Note: Students from ANY school are welcome provided they are in the correct grade levels indicated above.

Note: Towson Rec follows BCPS policies on cancellations regarding after school and evening activities. If a trip is cancelled, we will make every attempt to make it up on an additional Friday or Sunday in February.

NOTE: THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE FEES FOR SKI CLUB!!

1. TOWSON REC FEE:
This secures your spot in the ski club and covers coach bus transportation, staffing, club shirts, and admin fees.

Dumbarton - $185 (6 trips)

Towson High - $185 (6 trips)

Sparrows Point - $130 (4 trips)

McDonogh School - $130 (4 trips)

 

2. SKI LIBERTY FEE - NIGHT TRACKER PASS
Purchased separately through our group page on the SKi Liberty site (after you have registered through Towson Rec).  See Step 2 under "Registration Instructions" for our group login info.   NOTE:  If you already have Peak Pass, you do not need to purchase the Night Tracker pass.

$280 - Lift Ticket, Lessons,Equipment Rentals 

$235 - Lift Ticket & Lessons   

$190 - Lift Ticket Only   

Note: fees increase $25 after 11/17 

*Additional options available online when you register (I.e. Helmet rental/purchase, insurance, advantage card options, etc.) 

* In addition to the school trips, the Night Tracker Pass also allows students to ski/snowboard for FREE on their own from 4-10 p.m. all season at Liberty, Roundtop, and Whitetail beginning 1/2/20!

 

SUPERVISION:  
Parents should understand that students are not supervised directly while on the slopes or in the ski lodge.  Parents of students new to skiing should attend the first ski trip to assist their son/daughter. Ski patrol will contact TRC chaperones in the event of a medical concern, at which point chaperones will contact parents as necessary.

 

BEHAVIOR:

Ski club participants are expected to follow the same behavioral guidelines as listed in their BCPS student handbook.  Violations may result in suspension from the club with no refunds.

 

DUMBARTON MIDDLE SCHOOL - ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Middle school bus departs from Dumbarton Middle School promptly at 3:20 p.m. from the rear parking lot (near the 'Snack Shack' shed) and will return to the front of the school at 10:30 p.m.  
  • Gear may be dropped off at the Snack Shack located at rear parking lot near the fields on the morning of the trips 
  • DMS parents will chaperone the trips. 
  • Students are responsible for their own dinner.
  • Complete details will follow upon registration.

TOWSON HIGH SCHOOL - ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • High school bus departs from Towson High School promptly at 2:30 p.m. from the back parking lot near fields.
  • Bus will return to the back lot at 10:30 p.m.    
  • High school gear drop-off: shed on grass field starting 20 min prior to school start.
  • THS parents and teachers will chaperone the trips. 
  • Students are responsible for their own dinner.
  • Complete details will follow upon registration.
