Dear Towson Recreation Council Families,
Baltimore County Department of Recreation & Parks would like to invite you to participate in our annual “Boo Thru” event. With the COVID pandemic, we are striving to provide a safe, enjoyable alternative for the children in our community to enjoy the Halloween experience.
We are inviting local organizations and businesses to bring a tent and set up on our parking lot at Northwest Regional Park located at 4515 Deer Park Rd, Owings Mills, MD. 21117.
Areas will be socially distanced for this event. Parents will drive through the parking lot, allowing their children to trick or treat at each tent, while safely remaining in their car. To illuminate the Halloween Spirit, tent decorating and wearing of costumes is encouraged to make this a memorable and festive event for the children.
The Boo Thru Event will be held rain or shine on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The set up for your tent area can begin as early as 4PM on that day.
Our goal is to have at least twenty organizations and businesses sign up so that we can start advertising the event no later than October 1.
Due to COVID, face covering and gloves are to be worn by the person in your group who will approach the cars, handing out treats. Pre-wrapped, store bought candy or gift certificates are appropriate.
