Love baseball and want to make some money? Consider being a youth umpire. TRC Baseball uses youth umpires (at least 11 years old) in its Rookie and 9/10 division games. As a minimum requirement to be a youth umpire, candidates must have played in TRC's 9/10 division (or an equivalent program), and have at least 2 years of baseball or softball playing experience. (Please note that If you are 12 years old and “playing up” in the 13/15 division you will not be eligible to umpire, because Rookie and 13/15 play on the same nights.) Filling the youth umpire positions is a competitive process and qualified candidates must be mature, independent, focused and responsible. Selected candidates will be trained by senior members of our adult umpire team.
