Divisional Organization and Descriptions

TRC’s recreation (“in-house”) baseball is organized into six age-specific divisions for players age 4 to 15 years old. Teams begin practices in early April and play games through mid-June. Below is a brief description of each division:

Tee-Ball Division:

An introductory, non-competitive baseball experience for 4-5 year olds. Click here for the T-Ball Division home page..

Clinic Division:          

The next level of introductory, non-competitive baseball for 6-7 year olds. Click here for the Clinic division home page.

Rookie Division:

Fun, competitive baseball for 7-8 year olds. Scores and standings are kept and season finishes with playoff and championship games. Player pitch is introduced half-way through the season. Click here for the Rookie Division home page.

9/10 Division:

Fun, competitive baseball for 9-10 year olds. Scores and standings are kept and the season finishes with playoff and championship games. All pitching is player-based. Click here for 9/10 Division home page.

11/12 Division:

Fun, competitive baseball for 11-12 year olds. Scores and standings are kept and the season finishes with playoff and championship games. Base stealing is introduced. Click here for the 11/12 Division home page.

13/15 Division:

An inter-recreational league for 13-15 year olds composed of teams from Towson (TRC), Lutherville-Timonium (LTRC), and Cockeysville (CRC) recreation councils. The season finishes with playoff and championship games. All games follow MLB rules. The league is divided into a North Division and a South Division. All TRC teams play in the South Division.
